Geneva Motor Show 2015 - Ferrari 488 GTB, full of breath

Ferrari will present an important novelty in Geneva and that will be just the "facelift" of 458. Note the quotation marks around the word restyling, these are put as changes are indeed many compared to a 458. The 488 GTB loses few cubic centimeters but gains two turbos and a few dozen horses.
Ferrari did not do things by halves to give a facelift to the 458. The Italian manufacturer has reviewed in its entirety the mechanical part which passes from air supply to overfeeding based on two turbos. The V8 goes from 4.5 to 4 liters while power
increases to 670 hp and torque now peaks at 760 Nm. Quite significantly higher values ​​than the 458 that allow the 488 GTB to pass the 100 km / h in 3 seconds and 200 km / h in just 8.3 seconds.

Aesthetically, the 488 GTB is not a big revolution, but a number of new features such as the disappearance of the triple exhaust outlet in favor of an exit on each side of the diffuser. Overall, the style is pretty close to 458 although some angles, the 488 GTB differs quite markedly from its predecessor.

Finally, the main information you need to remember with the 488 GTB is the abandonment of the aspirated V8. For an atmospheric engine coupe in this segment, it will be necessary to go to Lamborghini.
