Residents of a village in the west of Sri Lanka joyous surprise when it rained fish on a small village.
Fish landed during a storm is believed to be brought from a river by strong winds . Residents said they heard the sounds of the village objects fall during the storm , and were surprised when they saw the amount of fish weighed more than fifty kilograms.
This is not the first incident of its kind in Sri Lanka , in 2012 rained quantities of shrimp in the south of the
country . Scientists say these cases occur when the storm is located above the shallow water , where the Vtzhb of small neighborhoods such as fish , snakes, frogs and even propelled into the air . The fish carried by wind over long distances .
The villagers say that some of the fish , which ranged in length from 5 to 8 centimeters , was alive when dropped , prompting them to put it in the water to take them in the post .
