One of the rarest birds in the world is a New Zealand parrot, the parrot Kokapo or night, it is the only species of the genus Strigops and subfamily Strigopinae, the only non-flying parrot world and heavier, it is nocturnal and herbivorous. The Kokapo is critically endangered since February 2012, there are only 126 living individuals.
